About Rom Pho

A practice built on patience, not pressure

Rom Pho was founded with one purpose: to make legal support for pension matters feel less daunting and more human — for every person who walks through our door.

Our Story

How Rom Pho began

Rom Pho was established in Bangkok by a small team of legal practitioners who had spent years working within the Thai social security and employment framework. What we kept noticing was a gap — people with legitimate pension concerns who found the formal process confusing, cold, and hard to navigate without professional guidance.

The name Rom Pho refers to the great bodhi tree, a symbol of shelter and steadiness in Thai culture. It felt right. We wanted to be the kind of practice that people feel safe coming to — not intimidated by.

Since opening our office on Ratchadamri Road, we have supported individuals and families through consultations, formal disputes, and extended legal cases — always working at the pace that suits the person in front of us.

Our Mission

What we are here to do

Our mission is to make pension legal support accessible and calm for people in Thailand. Pension concerns often arrive at a difficult time in life — when people need steadiness, not more stress. We aim to provide that steadiness.

We believe legal advice should be given in plain language, at a reasonable price, and with genuine respect for the person asking. That means listening first, explaining clearly, and never pushing someone toward a decision they are not ready to make.

Standards & Practice

How we work

These principles guide every case we take on, from a first enquiry to a concluded matter.

Licensed Thai Legal Practitioners

All advisers at Rom Pho hold current licences under the Thai Lawyers Council. We practise within the bounds of Thai law and adhere to its professional code.

Strict Confidentiality

All client information is handled under strict legal professional privilege. Nothing is shared without your explicit agreement, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562.

Clear Written Advice

Following each consultation, we provide a written summary of what was discussed and what the options are — so you can reflect and return to it at any time.

Plain Language Policy

We have a firm internal rule: no unexplained legal terms in client communications. If something needs explaining, we take the time to do it properly.

Transparent Fee Structure

Fees are agreed in writing before any work begins. We do not add charges without discussion. Clients understand exactly what they are paying for at every stage.

Regular Case Updates

We provide updates at agreed intervals throughout a case. You should never need to chase us for information about where things stand.

Pension legal support in Bangkok — a different kind of practice

The Thai pension system spans several frameworks — the Social Security Fund, the Government Pension Fund, and private occupational schemes — each with its own procedures for entitlement, dispute, and appeal. Navigating these can feel bewildering, particularly when a decision affecting your income or your family's welfare seems to have gone the wrong way.

Rom Pho was built specifically to support people in that position. We do not take on commercial litigation or corporate work. Our focus is narrow and deliberate: pension matters, handled with care. That means we know this area of Thai law in depth, and we understand the administrative culture of the bodies involved.

Our Lumphini office is easy to reach from central Bangkok, and we also take enquiries by telephone. We work with clients across Thailand, including expatriates and those with international pension considerations who have connections to the Thai system.
